There are different prices in the University Colleges, because the College of Science and Mathematics and the College of Engineering and Computer Science subsidize our operating expenses.
Be assured that our technicians will make every effort to resolve your problem(s) to your complete satisfaction. However, our technicians must always charge for their time, even when it turns out that it is not possible to repair the instrument or computer. You have the right to set a spending limit at the beginning of the project. If that amount does not cover the actual cost of the repair, we will review the situtation with you when the spending limit has been reached.
SPECIAL NOTE OF INTEREST: In January of 2000 our shop did a cost survey of twenty-two local computer repair businesses. We found that for a two hour job the average cost for onsite repair is $85/per hour + parts, and the average cost of in-house repair is $68/per hour + parts. Also, the general charge for pickup and delivery (roundtrip) is $50.
